I am a therapist and wellness expert who specializes in helping young people develop the inner tools they need to successfully and authentically navigate life. My work combines the power of connection with spiritual concepts to help adolescents expand their thinking, raise their awareness, and challenge their negative beliefs.
Adolescence is a challenging life phase. They often experience drama, relationship issues, and insecurity as they struggle to figure out who they are. Feelings of sadness, anxiety, and low self-worth are common during this time.
I would know. In high school, I seemed happy, popular, and confident. I was voted class clown and was even on the prom court. No one (except my immediate family) would have guessed that I spent most of my teenage and early adult years miserable, depressed, and suicidal. I did everything I could to be accepted and fit in. I consider myself a wounded healer and know very well what it’s like to be in a pit of despair as an adolescent.
That’s why I have dedicated my life’s work to building a culture of wellness among young people.
I developed a unique approach to supporting adolescents. Regardless of what brought them to my office, I started to see a common theme among the teens I was serving. They were all struggling to form their identity. I saw amazing results among my clients when I started focusing on self-acceptance, authenticity, and identity development. Focusing on helping them get clear on who they are in this world helped alleviate the inner struggle they were experiencing and lessened their anxiety and depressive symptoms. My work has helped over 1000 young people find their way to hope, health, happiness, and healing.
